If you already have Microsoft Account that you use at home, you can sign in to the store to gain access to your personal app library to download them for use on your University device. If you wish to download a paid application, you will need your personal Microsoft Account with payment options configured. To continue downloading of your free application, click on 'No, thanks' button when prompted. By default, you do not require to have Microsoft Account to download free applications, but you will be prompted to sing in to the store the first time you attempt to download a free application. The store contains both free and paid applications. Microsoft Store provides you with access to range of free and paid applications that you can install without the need for input from IT Services. If you cannot see the Store tile, you can search for Microsoft Store in the search bar from within the Start Menu to locate it. Microsoft Store App can be accessed from within the Windows Start Menu. To access Microsoft Store, you need to be using Windows 10 staff device running Windows version 1803 and higher. Applications downloaded through the store are self sustained, updated automatically by Microsoft, and do not require intervention from IT Services. University of Derby Staff can now access and utilise Microsoft Store on their Windows 10 device to get more apps, securely.
